​​​The Great Convergence is Coming! Humanity is on the brink of the most incredible discoveries and opportunities and the most uncertainty and challenge in our existence. Most of us are experiencing different pieces of these changes through the media, school, or work. Together, they form what we at Planet Gel-O call The Great Convergence and represent the most exciting opportunity for, or serious threat to, our existence as a species. 

 

These powerful forces include artificial intelligence, genetic manipulation, robotics, quantum computing, climate change, global economic interdependence, cultural stresses, human migration, existing wars, geopolitical tension, and the threat of nuclear war. 

 

Whether the Great Convergence is simply a matter of humanity's continuing development or something more is a matter of debate. Here at Planet Gel-O, we believe it could be more. However, if it is simply one more of the hundreds of cycles humans have experienced, there has never been one as complex or globally connected.  

 

History shows us that humanity changes and adjusts, but sharp differences regarding values, truth, and daily life have always existed and likely always will. The Great Convergence will bring human existence to a boiling point but there is one hope, courageous coexistence. Courageous coexistence must grow from an ideal on a car bumper sticker to a global movement. Planet Gel-O Outreach exists to pursue and foster that movement.

 

Together our potential as a species is unlimited. And our ability to turn the Great Convergence into an opportunity instead of a threat is very optional.
